  • Six Career Secrets - Free Money Finance is always chock full of great advice and tips. I liked this post a lot. The full title is Six Career Secrets You Won’t Learn in School and I can attest to each and every one of them even in my short term experience in the corporate world.
  • Answer Tricky Interview Questions - OK, so this is another post from Free Money Finance, but its so valuable I couldn’t pass it up. There are some great hints and techniques listed.

Sunday Speed Linking

LinkingToday’s Sunday Speed Linking encompasses both whimsical and serious articles.  I think each of these links will point you to something that will enrich your life in some way. It may be the gift of laughter or a money-saving tip.  However, that’s enough talking.  Let’s get started.

  • Extend the life of your car - This is an article that everyone I know should read. I’ll admit it, I don’t take the greatest care with my vehicles. They run, and they get me from place to place. When something breaks, I’ll fix it. Barring something really bad, I generally don’t do maintenance. After reading this article, that changed. With such a comprehensive set of tips, I find it hard to ignore them.
  • College is worth the expense - I’m a big fan of higher education. In fact, I myself am going through college right now. It’s pretty awesome and I wouldn’t want to miss out on it for the world. Now, I’m beginning to hear horror stories of people graduating with insane amounts of debt and that they would have been better off not going to college in the first place. This article from Free Money Finance is a great explanation of why college is worth the expense and also has some tips on avoiding debt that could plague you.
  • Animator vs. Animation - This link will send you over to Albino Black Sheep and a flash file that is hosted there. It is pretty much one of the most interesting and creative things I’ve seen in a while. I take inspiration from people’s creativity with things like this, and think everyone should watch this at least once.

That’s it for this Sunday’s Speed Linking. Coming up this week we have a few exciting things. More personal finance tips, job suggestions, ways to handle boredom, and a big announcement. Stay tuned!

Sunday (Sort of) Speed Linking

LinkingThis week we’ve got a lot of great links from around the blogosphere.  I’ve been collecting these ones for a while now, and I think it’s time to put them out there.  Some of these bloggers are completely unknown, but that’s one of the reasons I like linking to them.  Anyways, let’s get started:

  • To Recycle or Not - Great post on the benefits of recycling and one guy’s approach. I don’ t think they offer recycling in my neck of the woods, and that is unfortunate, but it’s something we should all do.
  • Get an MBA? - Ok, so this post is by a really well-known blogger over at Free Money Finance, but I really like his writing style. This post is really great if you’re on the fence about getting an MBA. It’s definitely something to think about in today’s economy, but would it really benefit you?
  • Batman Begins Computer Mod - So I really like computers and if I had the money, I would totally get something like this. If you appreciate art and computers combined, you’ll love this piece. I found it via Engadget.

Stay tuned this week for more excellent tips on living on your own
