Sleep Solutions
Do you ever have trouble falling asleep? Do you toss and turn or wake up in the middle of the night? I know I do, and it’s not very fun. However, I’ve come up with four sure-fire solutions to put me to sleep and I’d like to share them with you. Here we go.
- Eat some yogurt - I don’t know what it is about yogurt, but it’s a real relaxation both for me and a few other people that I know. If I wake up in the middle of the night I’ll go to the fridge and get some nice cold yogurt (I prefer blueberry) and eat it. Takes about 5 minutes and then I can sleep again. If you’re looking for great yogurt, I recommend Yoplait’s Low-fat variety
- Warm glass of milk - Another dairy product, I know. If you leave a glass of milk on your counter for about 10 minutes before you’re about to go to bed it’ll be slightly cool or even warm. I’ve even seen some people warm the milk in a saucepan. Drink that precious liquid and you’ll be knocked out.
- Take a warm bath - Take a warm, not hot, bath about 15 minutes before bedtime. It’ll relax your muscles, your spine, and your sense so that you’re ready for sleep. Climb out of the bath and step into your pajamas. Insert yourself into your bed and you’ll be asleep within minutes.
- Read a business book - OK, for all you business types out there, I don’t understand how you can find analytical models and accounts receivable interesting. I started reading about that stuff and immediately fell asleep. If you are, in fact, interested in business, try reading an engineering book. If business doesn’t get you, that should.
Employ these strategies and you should be sleeping like a baby in no time.
